Do what you can, with what you have, where you are

So another version of auditioning is through submissions. Emails containing your headshot, resume, and demo videos of your work can be sent in for some auditions you may not be able to attend. I have tried to send submissions to various casting calls probably around 3-4 days a week.Just recently, I heard back from Spamalot (non-equity)  National Tour. I had submitted a video in December to them for female ensemble, and they apparently had wanted me to come in for a call back, however, some how managed to accidentally not send me the confirmation email.....
Slightly bummed this happened, however, there is nothing that can be done about it now. They apologized and asked me to send a video demonstration of my dance anyway to keep on file. I guess that is good news though, sooo..yayy!

I also sent in a video submission for a group called Cabaret and Cabaret, which is a company that is currently hosting a charity cabaret in April. They chose to cast me to sing the songs "Puttin on the Ritz", "The Way You Look Tonight", and "Sing, sing, sing (with a swing)" for their event. I am pretty excited for another performance opportunity and we shall see what becomes of it.

Finally, I can not believe opening night of Jesus Christ Superstar is finally here. Seems like it was just yesterday I was auditioning (and meeting Stephen who asked me if I was going to a job interview after my audition, since I was so dressed up haha) and now only a month and a half later we are ready to perform. I would be lying if I said I have been confident in this whole process. Only 2 days ago I was extremely worried about how everything would turn out, but we definitely pulled it together and now are audience ready. If you want to come check out the performance the details are as follows...

March 29-April 1 (Friday-Monday)
April 4-8 (Thursday-Monday)
April 11-15 (Thursday-Monday)
(Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.)

$20 general admission
$18 senior citizens
$15 students
$10 Mondays, Thursdays, and Breakthrough alumni

This cast consists of some incredible talent, and I have learned so much from you guys. Tony (Jesus) and Justin (Judas) have brilliant performances, as well as many others I am so happy to be working along side. Cam, thanks for being an awesome dance partner and Brittnay thanks for putting up with my craziness. This story is just in time for Easter weekend and has been a great reminder to me of what this time is really about. Come check it out!

Hope everyone has a safe and Hoppy Easter!
