a year ago i would have never pictured my life the way it is now

This week was the beginning of the holiday season. I was hoping it would not be a lonely time for me, and I was very right. On the night before Thanksgiving, some of the GM family got together to celebrate the holiday by bringing a dish of choice to Hailey's room, where we all feasted together. I made my favorite Thanksgiving dishes my mom has shared with me over the years, broccoli casserole and corn casserole.
I of course was not the only one to bring yummies....
We had a full on feast! The best part of this experience was getting to share Thanksgiving with a few Australians and Filipino friends who had never celebrated this holiday before. We took a picture of our "full faces" (as in full bellies full of food) and the newbies did not quite understand and thought full as in smile. It was a good chuckle..
I was very lucky to not only have one Thanksgiving dinner, but two!! On Thanksgiving evening I met up with some of the Lion King family, look a likes, and atmosphere entertainers to have another feast! This one I cheated and brought a store bought cloud roll instead of making something, but everyone else brought some interesting dishes from all over the world. We had a little bit of Africa, England, Scotland, and other exotic locations.
When I got home, I skyped my family for 3 hours to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade since it is my absolute favorite part of this holiday.

Being a complete cheeseball, in addition to my usual list, I am extremely thankful this year in particular for my job and my Hong Kong family. If it were not for a few bold decisions in my life such as leaving college and ending some relationships, I would not be where I am today. As hard as those decisions were back then, I would not have it any other way to get where I am today. I am also very very grateful for my friends and family, and all the support and love that every one has sent my way. Hug your love ones close this holiday season.

Between both of these feasts I had, my costumes at work the next day were literally a little too tight. haha. Speaking of work, it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas there!

I also watched Illumination for the first time, which is the tree lighting ceremony in the park, complete with Mickey Mouse and some of his friends, fireworks, and snow!

All my Christmas shopping is already complete for this year! This is defiantly an accomplishment. I had to finish early if I wanted to send the package to my family on time. Kaite and I went to Mongkok on our day off and knocked it all out though just in time to head back to Disney for rehearsal.
We have been in rehearsal for Christmas Cabaret, which is a fun way for some of the Disney Cast Members to showcase their talents. I joined the Christmas Choir and we have been working on our song all week. The Cabaret is on the 5th so it's coming up fast!

Lastly, I would like to say a big HAPPPPPY BIRTHDAYYYY to my sister Hilary. Hil, miss you lots and hope you enjoy your day. Eat some cake for me, and remember not to scream at the monkeys. I love you!!
