merry everything and a happy always

Merry Fishmas humans! Sorry it has taken me so long to write this post. I have to be extremely careful what I say working here because it is a little different than Hong Kong. First thing first is I am really enjoying my job. It is more interactive and I actually get to communicate with guests from all over the world. I have met quite a few families from China, but no one from Hong Kong just yet. Regardless, a little part of my heart warms when I meet the families from China.

As many of you have seen from my facebook albums, I have the priviledge of being friends with many characters here in Orlando. Some of my furry friends below love to hang out in all four different parks as well as some restaurants and hotels.

(Pluto was so excited to be wearing his jingle bell collar and wanted to show everyone, but it is hard to see in this picture)

Green Army Men and the Toy Story gang

Eeyore and friends
But my favorite little trouble makers to play with are Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. One special day they got to ride the spinning tea cups with a family, as well as play games like duck duck goose, hide and go seek, and ring around the rosie with the children. They also had a hard time keeping their hands to themselves...and out of their nose.

One of these characters gave me my own magical moment the other day. We were watching some old home videos of when I was 3 and went to Disney for the first time with my family. In the video I hugged a very special monkey....

Little did I know 20 years later I would get to know this monkey better than ever before...
Rafiki from The Lion King

While Pluto was playing with guests at Chef Mickeys, two special visitors from Japan gave Pluto a treat, which he was very excited about.

It reminded me a lot of the superfans from Hong Kong and how much I miss them!

Now my favorite little fishy Ariel has been swimming in her grotto a lot and loves to talk to the humans about dinglehoppers and her best fishy friend Flounder.

One of Ariel's BFF (best fishy friends) Jayne swam in for a visit

More BFF's swimming Under the Sea for a visit

Although Ariel spends more time as a mermaid to meet with the humans, since humans don't meet mermaids very often, sometimes Ariel talks to her daddy about getting her human legs back so she can spend some time on land with her Prince Eric.

One of her BFF's Crew swimming in and reporting for duty upon Prince Eric's ship

Her favorite sailor Joey surprised her with a special visit after his long boat trip
Ariel and her friends enjoyed meeting the humans in Norway at Epcot

Ariel and some of her princess friends spent the day saying hello to the humans at Cinderella's castle

I also have the best job in the world because we get to have cookie parties and meet princesses all day.

When I am not working, of course I am still playing in the parks like the big kid that I am. I got to visit with some old friends from Michigan, whose children have grown up way too fast!

Then my nieces, sister, and I explored some park-age as well.

And some good old fashioned Ado-Laurey time with Jayne....

....where we met up with the man that brought us both together!

Now of course we aren't limited to Disney only, my family and I also had a visit to Universal Studios for Christmas. We got to see Grinchmas and the Holiday parade (which I miss a lot!) and I finally got to ride Gringotts (amazzzzzzing).

I am not quite sure what to ask for for Christmas this year because being home with my family makes this Christmas worth it for me. I am enjoying being home and it is finally beginning to go back to normal for me. I even found this Japanese Ramen place and was beyond excited.

Hong Kong I miss you everyday, but I keep you in my heart in a special place. For now, I know I am where I am meant to be. If you are planning a trip to Disney World anytime soon please let me know, I would love to meet up with you. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
