I used to walk into a room full of people and wonder if they liked me...now I look around and wonder if I like them

Wednesday was a surprised day off since we didn't have too much going on work wise. Sort of last minute, it was decided to go to Lantau Island to visit Jason, one of the Lion King drummers. Jason's house is extremely unique. He lives right near Pui O beach so we once again had to take the 2.5 hour bus ride including transfers and such to Pui O.
Max, Andrea, Tayla, LaDawn, Phil, and I

From there, we walked the 15 minute trek through beautiful hills and mountains (and swamps) to get to Jasons home.

Jason is currently building what will eventually be the ultimate tree house.

He was working on it while we were there so the smell of freshly cut sandalwood was in the air the whole time and it was glorious. He has successfully built an amazing tide pool area. The water is brought in through a fresh water spring and was the absolute perfect temperature.

Next to the tide pool was what we referred to as Pride Rock. Naturally I had to take an Ariel picture.

Thursday was my first day of school. I am taking two classes, Emerging Nations and Geography and I already have homework due tomorrow, blah. Today in rehearsal I had yet another costume fitting. It looks a lot different than previous and they are still toying with it so who even knows what it will look like when it is all said and done. I got to try the full outfit with hair and everything today though so that was fun. It was nice being a red head again, I have kind of missed it, ha. Tomorrow I have to do the same thing with make up and the full effect for the creative team during our costume parade so they can see it all with the lighting and such. We had another vocal session today but this time in front of the casting director, musical director, and creative director...needless to say, the pressure was on. Everyone was pretty nervous but everything was fine and they offered a few characterization suggestions. We also had our first "dance rehearsal" today. I say this in quotations because we learned the blocking for finale which is about an 8 second thing, but hey, I am just glad we get to be in another piece of the story. Especially because this is the piece that allows me to wear the super awesome wig, haha. The rest of the night was pretty chill allowing plenty of facetime session time with this silly goose as most nights go.

missing you <3
