My Diet Today Is 99% Halloween Candy

This Halloween has been in true trick or treat fashion this year.
Most people find the trick in trick or treat to be fun in nature and causing no harm, however, our trick this year was not fun at all. While attending a birthday party for a child at a preschool, our brand new car we purchased two weeks prior was broken in to.

We were really excited to trade our older car in for a car we had researched and saved up for.

As someone who usually never leaves anything in the car, the one time I did, I learned my lesson the hard way. Our passenger side window was shattered and my purse with my iPhone and wallet were taken. The individual also immediately spent several hundred dollars on my credit card nearby.

After a lot of panic and headache, things are finally starting to get pieced back together. Credit card charges were removed, the car window was fixed through our car insurance, new phone and wallet were purchased etc. There have been several cars broken into in this area in Orlando lately, and the police are in the process of investigating. Prayers they catch them soon.

Although this trick was not great, we have been really blessed with some fun treats this Halloween season. One of my favorites was my job with FrontRunner Casting and filming with National Geographic. Through this job I was also able to book a Disney promotional video for the new Disney Skyliner.

This was not our only time visiting Disney this Halloween season. Early on into the season, we attended Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. We snacked on some ghoulish goodies like ...

The Lotso Burger with brie fondu, onion rings, and strawberry-bacon jam
Constance For Better or Worse citrus and bavarian cream Cake...
Sally gluten free, strawberry cake push pop....

Fried Pickle Hot Diggity Dog...

and of course, lots and lots of candy!

Halloween at the Magic Kingdom is not complete without meeting rare characters such as ...

Boo from Monsters Inc
Vampirina

and all 7 dwarves together!
and of course some cheeky pirates on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride:

The rest of the characters you can find in the Boo To You Parade:

including Minnie in her Halloween costume
Constance from the Haunted Mansion

Ralph from Wreck It Ralp

But some of my favorite happy haunts are the ones you simply bump into at Disney, like my spooky friends Rachel and Lilian!

My favorite part of Not So Scary this year though was the beautiful Spelltacular firework display, which Jack Skellington himself led!

Not So Scary is always a good time, I am just so over it being 90 degrees here during Halloween. We were still able to have a great time though!

We also were fortunate enough to attend a bit of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios, and Spooktacular at SeaWorld, but honestly, I did not take a lot of photos at either of these because I was too busy melting in the 90 degree heat.

Mike and I were really over the heat and decided to take a spontaneous trip to upstate New York to visit Mike's family and enjoy some of the fall weather. We had a really great time visiting with family, eating spiced donuts and warm apple cider, and enjoying the changing color of the leaves.

One of my favorite Fall activities is going to Fall Festivals and Pumpkin Patches. At Cobble Creek Pumpkin Farm, we were able to both!

We took a hayride out to the pumpkin patch to choose our pumpkin to bring home.

This baby pumpkin later got carved into the cutest little Olaf..

There were other Fall activities at Cobble Creek like a ride on the barrel train...

a corn cannon...

a giant blow up trampoline...

some very famous celebrities....

and a corn maze!

We all made it out alive...well, sort of.

Living in Orlando the Halloween season can feel like forever, starting in August and ending in the beginning of November. It is officially time to say goodbye to scary and hello to the merry!
